Universities transfer is more than technology transfer. It includes also the transfer of knowledge and of ideas. In addition innovations are not only technologically driven. Social Innovation are as often and as necessary.
Nevertheless, most people in HEI management focuses only on technology transfer and on technical innovations. However, Social Innovation (SI) often does not even get on the surface, because they are not that easy to understand, to identify and nor to measure.
Therefore, it is necessary to work on a common understanding of Social Innovation and on possibilities how to integrate Social Innovation in the existing HEI management systems.
In this workshop, the participants will work on 1) the understanding of SI, 2) the speciality of SI within and out of HEI and 3) the integration of SI in the management systems.
